Branch Supervisor Job in Uganda

Position Title: Branch Supervisor
Reports To: Credit Supervisor
Terms : 2 Year Contract (Renewable)

POSITION SUMMARY;
Responsible for the overall management of the branch by providing leadership to the branch staff - to sustainable provide Housing Micro-credit and other support services to the low income earners,

SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES;
1. Primary areas of responsibility are program management, financial planning and monitoring, and human resource management plus rrumilm.mrn of excellent relations with the local leaders, other development organizations, and community
2. Maintain acceptable Portfolio as per business plans
3. Maintain an over all branch portfolio at risk rates in line with industry benchmarks,
4 Maintain adequate portfolio yield rates.
5. Build and maintain outstanding loan portfolio levels in as per agreed targets and providing the overall reporting for the branch.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• University degree in Microfinance, Rural Economy, Commerce, Business Administration, Agricultural Economy or related fields.
• 3 years working supervisory experience in a Microfinance setting is desirable especially in credit related activities.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, experience in personnel management, Communication and Team Building skills.
• Age Limit: between 27- 40 years.

Personal Attributes:
• Must be computer literate and possessing a riding permit,
• Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and minimal supervision with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Local Community development with team leadership skills as well as a high level of integrity and honesty.
• Must be result oriented with knowledge of local languages in areas served by branches desired but not preferred.
• Have a high level of Integrity and Honesty.
• Knowledge of local languages in areas served by the branch (Luganda / Runyoro) is a prerequisite for this vacancy,
• Availability to start working by/on 1st October 2010.

Accounts Assistant Job- Habitat for Humanity Uganda

Position Title: Accounts Assistant
Reports to: Branch Supervisor
Terms: 2 Years Contract (Renewable)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Managing the front office and maintaining /updating all accounts records transactions according to the accounting regulations.
Duties and responsibilities
1- Receive, attend to and direct visitors to the appropriate staff or office and answering enquiries by helping clients to access information about Habitat for Humanity r Uganda.
2. Provide basic information requirements and sale of application forms in liaison with the Credit Officers.
3. Receive loan repayments from clients at the Branch.
4. Maintain proper and requisite accounting records, specifically cash books for all the bank accounts and petty cash books.
5. Manage office imprest or Petty cash and other payments and ensure proper record keeping and accountability and assisting the Branch Supervisor and Credit Officers to prepare and effect disbursements to clients. ;
6. Provide back-up to the Branch Supervisor during preparation of financial reports.
7. Receive, receipt and bank cash collections.
8. Filing accounting records including paid vouchers and supporting documents and posting of financial transactions into the manual and /or computerized tracking systems
9. Reconciling office accounts on a daily/monthly/ quarterly basis and posting controls income and expenditure accounts as well as extracting income and expenditure accounts every month and balancing them with their respective controls,
10 .Carrying out any other duties assigned to him/ her by the Branch Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Diploma in Accounting.
•Working experience in accounts, Bankers' Realm (loans' tracking soft ware), cashiering
etc.

Personal Attributes:
• Computer literate and highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines plus a high level of integrity and honest and results oriented,
• Knowledge of local languages in areas served by the branch (Luganda / Runyoro) is a prerequisite for this vacancy
• Availability to start working by / on 1st October 2010.
• Age limit: between 25 - 35 years.

Office/HR Manager Job in Uganda

Post: Office/HR Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the role will assume full control over the day-to-day operational aspects of the Kampala office including office staff management, IT issues (equipment, internet, telecom, printers, software, etc), furnishings, vehicles, maintenance of HR files, and, most importantly, providing logistical support to the field operations. The role will supervise up to 4 office staff as well as the field staff.

Position: Programme Officer- Theological Education by Extension (TEE)

Reports to: Programme Manager - Christian Commitments & Church Partnerships

Location: Kampala

Purpose of Position: To facilitate and coordinate theological education by extension programmes in
world vision Uganda area development programmes and projects.

Key Result Areas:
Organize and conduct Theological Education by Extension (TEE) TOT and provide follow-up
support supervision
Develop TEE activity schedule and coordinate implementation
Coordinate TEE resource acquisitions and distribution
Organize review meetings to assess the TEE Programmes and make adjustments accordingly
Compile monthly reports highlighting the progress of the TEE programme
Conduct quarterly field visits to monitor the implementation of TEE programme
Organize and conduct Theological Education by Extension (TEE) TOT and provide follow-up
support supervision

Position: Program Manager - Christian Commitments & Church Partnerships

Reports to: Director, Ministry Quality

Location: Kampala

Purpose of position:
To provide leadership to the Christian Commitments (CC) department and management
of Church Partnerships in accordance with the World Vision Uganda Christian Commitments
Strategy and Church Partnerships guidelines.

Key Result Areas:
Manage and supervise Christian Commitments Staff in quality programme development,
management and implementation
Manage and coordinate the implementation of the Church Capacity building project activities
Develop annual plans and budgets for the CC unit and the Church Capacity Building Project
Identify and build strategic linkages, relations, collaborations and networks with church and
Faith Based Organizations and other stakeholders in planning, implementation, policy influencing
and advocacy.
Identify potential funding for enhancing CC work and develop proposals.

Must have a university degree in development Studies or related field.
Must have at least 5 years' experience in community development.
Must have at least 5 years' experience of Grant management
Must have at least 3 years' experience in working with Christian faith based organizations
Must have good analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of financial and human resource management.
Must be able to communicate in a cross-cultural environment.
