General Purpose

Build and lead the marketing team to successfully formulate and execute corporate marketing strategies in line with the vision of the bank.
Develop and execute product marketing strategies for launching, growing and sustaining the new or repackaged products.
Conduct market research and explore critical marketing opportunities, partnerships, strategic alliances etc.
Integrate marketing with business to ensure maximization of marketing efforts and business goals.
Manage and be accountable for corporate sponsorships, marketing budgets, timelines and results.


PR & CSR Activities;

Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external audiences.
Plan and direct development and informational programs to maintain favorable public and stakeholder perception of banks accomplishments and agenda.
Manage all bank launches and promotional activities.
Study objectives, promotional policies and needs of the bank to develop public relations strategies will influence public opinion or promote ideas, products and services.
Develop in country CSR strategies and implement the same.
Coordinate CSR activities with KCB Foundation management.

REPORTING TO: Board of Governors

ROLE PURPOSE: To provide independent and objective assessment and appraisal of all the various activities of all departments and sections throughout the hospital. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Audit Planning/Design: Develop and implement a comprehensive annual audit programme/plan for the evaluation of management controls, both financial and non-financial.

2. Conducting Audits: Develop audit procedures and systems. Examine the effectiveness of all levels of management in their responsibility for the use of resources to secure value for money, their compliance with established policies and procedures. Oversees implementation of audit findings and recommendations.

3. Reporting: To provide a written quarterly and annual assurance to the BOG on the adequacy and application of internal control systems operating throughout the hospital. Recommends changes, ensures that company policies and procedures are followed, and establishes techniques to discover and prevent fraud.

4. Improving the Practice of Audits/Championing Risk Management

Identify areas for improvement for the hospital as a whole, develop methodologies to improve the audit process and provide assistance to the hospital in meeting regulatory requirements.

Ensure that internal audits and advice is provided in an impartial and professional manner and in accordance with all relevant Codes of Practice, Standards, Professional and Technical Guidelines, Recommendations etc.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Finance qualification with Internal Audit Experience of at least 3 years

ACCA or CPA certification a requirement.

Membership to IAAU is an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ post qualification of ACCA or CPA significant experience in Internal Audit roles at a management level in a medium sized organization.

Job Title: PMTCT/PAEDIATRIC HIV SERVICES COORDINATOR

Specific tasks will include:
Together with appropriate MOH team(s), carry out an evaluation of strengths and gaps within current PMTCT and paediatric HIV services at SUSTAIN-supported facilities, including technical capacity issues and

• Implement follow-on support supervision, mentoring and coaching to enhance service provider application of skills to service delivery.
Ensure functional linkages and referrals/ counter-referrals between SUSTAIN-supported facilities, other facilities supported by other partners, community-based services and the private sector
With the SUSTAIN M and E manager and MOH relevant team, develop and implement an activity documentation, monitoring and progress reporting framework that addresses requirements of the MOH, USAID and SUSTAIN project.

Minimum Qualifications
• A basic degree in human medicine, with a relevant post-graduate qualification (at least Master level) in public health or clinical medicine.
• At least 3 years experience in managing HIV programs in Uganda, preferably in the areas of PMTCT and/or paediatric HIV services.

POSITION: LABORATORY SERVICES STRENGTHENING SPECIALIST

Job Description
The Laboratory Services Strengthening Specialist will work closely with relevant departments of the MOH and AIDS Control Program (ACP), respective regional referral and district hospitals, as well as district health teams and other HIV program implementing partners to plan for and provide the required support to strengthen capacity of selected public health facilities, laboratories, as per the Uganda Ministry of Health and SUSTAIN project strategies.

Specific tasks will include:

• As part of capacity building initiatives for SUSTAIN-supported health care facilities, lead an exercise for assessment of training needs at the facilities, together with other partners and the MoH.

• Following the assessment, work with other implementing partners and MOH/ACP and CPHL to develop and implement work plans for strengthening capacity of laboratory staff from each of the facilities through training, mentoring and support supervision.

• Working closely with MoH and CPHL and other partners to lead and coordinate a laboratory renovation needs assessment exercise at supported Region at Referral Public Hospitals; develop and implement a renovation plan; and coordinate and supervise the renovation process, ensuring that duplication of effort and resources is avoided.
• Work with respective health care facility teams and other partners to develop/strengthen and ensure efficiency of systems for transporting test samples and results to and from referral laboratories.

• Reviewing the HIV-related tests equipment available at laboratories for 24 public health facilities supported by SUSTAIN, and together with various stakeholders, rationalize what additional equipment may be need, including maintenance and servicing systems in place, and/or may be needed in each laboratory.
• Closely working with appropriate MOH departments and individual facilities to ensure that H1V related laboratory test supplies and reagents, including ensuring a reliable system for a buffer supply, are well managed.
• Ensuring there are systems and standard operating procedures for preventative maintenance of equipment in supported facilities. Leading a SUSTAIN-supported process
• Leading a SUSTAIN-supported process and activities to develop and implement individual facilities with respect to, among other areas: capability to provide their own HIV-related laboratory services, strengthened capacity of laboratory personnel and equipment maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Laboratory Science or equivalent degree qualification. Additional post-graduate qualifications/training will be of added advantage.
• At least 5 years of demonstrable practical experience with managing HIV laboratory programs in Uganda, specifically planning for and delivering of laboratory services within the context of MOH and PEPFAR programs in the country.
• In-depth knowledge of the current approaches in the field of adult and paediatric HIV prevention, care, treatment and monitoring laboratory service set-up and delivery in Uganda will be required.
