Job Title: Project Coordinator-Youth Project
Location: Tororo

The Project Coordinator will report to the Programme Support Manager and will be the team leader for this project; the position is therefore both a technical and a managerial position. The successful candidate will support all project and partner related activities in Tororo and Lira districts. He/She will supervise two Project Facilitators ensuring that the project objectives are realized in line with the objectives of the Project.

Major Responsibilities /Key Result Areas
1. Develop and implement timely and quality quarterly project implementation plans
2. Ensure that all aspects of the project are in compliance with EC standards
3. Take responsibility for project reporting in line with EC requirements
4. Organize regular performance review meetings with the key project stakeholders
5. Ensure adequate stakeholder consultation and participation at all project stages
6. Supervise and appraise project staff to ensure quality delivery of the project
7. Compile and disseminate reports to the project stakeholders
8. Participate in supervising the work of partner organizations
9. Ensure efficient utilization and timely accountability of funds allocated to implementing partners
10. Ensure that the project documents are well maintained
11. Participate in operational research related to the project
12. Manage project resources efficiently and effectively
13. Take a lead role in ensuring the Projects EC visibility Plan implemented as planned

Essential Competencies and Experience
• A Degree in Economics, Commerce, Business administration, Finance, development studies, entrepreneurs flip
• At least 5 years experience with a minimum of three years experience in implementing of life skills interventions for young people preferably with an International Non-Governmental Organization
• At least three years prior experience of managing as well implementing EC grants
• Knowledge of key donor requirements for the EC
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work cooperatively with local partners
• Proven skills and experience in report writing, computer, team management and budget management

Personal Attributes:
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the country
• Demonstrates a "self-starter" attitude and an ability to take initiative
• Demonstrates an ability to participate in a team-working environment
• Is honest, fair and truthful with a high degree of confidentiality
