Job Title: Accountant

Reporting to the Managing Director, the role has overall responsibility for the Finance function.
Specifically the duties shall be to:
• Maintain properly reconciled books of accounts
•Ensure that appropriate internal controls are implemented and function adequately •Provide timely, relevant and reliable information for management decision making •Assist In the process of developing budgets and pro¬vide accurate cash-flow projections to management
•Develop and maintain thorough financial procedures for the organization including credit control, cash management tax and expenditure controls etc.
•Manage department staff in line with company's policies, procedures and ethos. •Provide required support to external auditors
•Ensure all statutory returns are filed and tax computations done on time

Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or business related subjects,
• Three to five years of accounting experience and part qualification in any of the recognized accounting professional exams.

Knowledge, skills and Competencies
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including IFRS.
• Knowledge of accounting software applications. Particularly Tally and QuickBooks.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
