Jobs Vacancy for Internal Auditor in Uganda

Job Title: Internal Auditor
Reports: (Functionally) to the Board of Directors and (Administratively) to the CEO of the Company.

Duties
(a) Plan and execute audits in accordance with accepted standards.
(b) Review book-keeping and accounting systems in the CCHCL projects and programmes to ensure that they are properly kept.
(c) Perform regular examination, verification and audit of key areas such as collection, receipts, bank slips, payroll, stores, payments and capital items, reporting and
(d) Perform regular audits at CCHCL projects/programme sites to ensure up to date financial records and that they are complying with approved management and accounting policies and procedures.
(e) Carry out investigations in frauds and misappropriation, if any.
(f) Carry out operational and value for money audits to ascertain the effectiveness of established policies and plans and where necessary recommend improvements.
(g) Attend periodic cash and stock counts.
(h) Assist in building capacities on Provincial management and control of project operating staff through on the job training. (i) Assist External Auditors in the accomplishment of their work.

Specification of the suitable should include;
i) Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business Administration (Accounting option), ACCA, CPA, CIMA part qualification will be an added advantage. ii) Minimum of three (3) years post- qualification professional
Accounting experience in an NGO, Grant management would be an added advantage.
iii) Excellent computer and database skills; Microsoft Office, Excel, Pastel and or Tally Accounting packages.
iv) Excellent financial and budgeting skills and experience.
v) Ability to plan, initiate and complete work assignments under tight dead lines.
vi) Attention to detail and multitasking ability
vii) Should have good communication skills, result oriented, honest and high integrity.
vii) Committed to the values and faith of Church of Uganda.
At least 5 years experience.
