Uganda Christian University invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans 1o the fill the position of BURSAR, BISHOP BARHAM UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, KABALE. SCALE: CUK4
The successful candidate must:-

1. Be able to lead and motivate a team of people and foster a cooperative work environment.
2. Have the ability to manage tight deadlines.
3. Have excellent verbal and communication skills.
4. Have excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational and administrative skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervision of all staff in the department.
2. Preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.
3. Supervise all College accounts and monitor all financial and budgetary transactions to ensure compliance with University policies and procedures.
4. Maintain standard accounts, billing arid collections of fees and other charges.
5. Signatory to all College bank accounts and other financial documents.
6. Prepare and distribute accounting reports and statements, review management accounts and explain them to Management.
7. Disburse funds in payment of obligations.
8. Maintain an asset register.
9. Coordinate the procurement function of the College.
10. Advise the College administration on financial matters.


Job requirement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Accounting/Finance Option) or Economics.
2. Possession of ACCA or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or a Master's Degree in a business-related field from an accredited institution will be an added advantage.
3. Proven experience at a senior level in a similar organization/institution.
4. Knowledge of Government/other regulatory policies and procedures.
5. Proficiency in personal computer applications, such as Excel. Pastel Accounting and/or similar software.
6. Must be a committed Christian
