Job title: Laboratory Technician
Reports to: Lab Manager/ Supervisor

Job Responsibilities;
• Analytical work (research and Clinical), problem solving, preparation of media/stock solutions, receipt and preparation of samples, testing, shipping, or transport to desired location and storage of samples
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and proper disposal of garbage/ waste
• Responsible to correctly record data and results manually or in a computer database for all testing results before dispatch to the data department
• Participate in required competency and proficiency testing programs

Person Specifications:
• Diploma in a laboratory science field, at least 2 years experience in a medical laboratory field in a multi departmental setting, computer skills, good communication skills, high level of attention to details
