Job Title: Data Statistician
Reports to: M and E Officer
Location: Provincial Secretariat Namirembe Hill, Wills Road

Role: The position involves collecting and entering data. It entails using an electronic database handling an array of programs including Health, Education and Source of Social Protection. The incumbent may be expected to verify field reports as and when necessary at all levels.

Key responsibilities:
In coordination with the M and E Officer collect data from partners and enter it into the database.
•Verify entered data to ensure accuracy and compliance with set standards
•Maintain data integrity, confidentiality and efficient operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
•Run analysis of data and generate reports

Job requirement

Qualifications and experience:
A University degree in Statistics, Computer Science or related field
At least 3 years technical experience in the field of Epidemiology and/or monitoring and evaluation

Competencies required:
Possess good analytical and report writing skills
• Be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft SQL server, Access, and other information systems software; experience in using data entry and analysis software will be an added advantage.
• Be able to maintain confidentiality
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Be able to multitask and complete projects within a proposed timeframe
• Be able to work with minimum supervision is strong team building and strategic planning skills proposed timeframe
• Be able to work with minimum supervision

• Be a mature Christian and a person of integrity
