Job Title: Program Officer-Reproductive Health

The Church of the Province of Uganda (Church of Uganda) is a member of the 'Worldwide Anglican Communion. The Church is commissioned to carry out Christ's mission of teaching, preaching, healing and nurturing her people’s that they may have an abundant life and build an evangelistic, loving, caring, worshipping; peaceful and just community.

The Church is currently seeking-suitable persons to fill in the positions listed below:


Reports to: Provincial Health Coordinator
Location: Provincial Secretarial, Namirembe Hill, Willis Road
The Officer will perform day-to-day implementation of H1V/AIDS, Reproductive Health and Quality family services in all COU Diocesan medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
•Planning and implementation of HIV/AIDS and
•Reproductive Health activities at supported facilities and Dioceses
•Provide on-going supervision of HIV/AIDS and Reproductive Health Services
•Co-ordinate mentorship of facility and Diocesan staff
•Participate in quality assurance/quality improvement of HIV/AIDS and Reproductive Health activities
•Assist in program monitoring and evaluation
•Liaise with the Ministries of Health and UNFPA in effective program delivery,
• Preparation of budgets, work plans, reports and other technical papers

Job requirement

Qualifications and experience:
•Bachelor's degree in social sciences, medicine or related course: a masters degree in Public health will be an added advantage.
•At least 5 years' experience in program planning
•Experience with HIV/AIDS and RH programming
•Familiarity with district-level health care programs in Uganda
•Clinical experience in HIV/AHDS and RH management
•Strong supervisory and management skills
•Dynamic personality and a team player Computer literacy, particularly in the use of MS office
•Mature Christian and person of integrity.
