-         Ready to work beyond the ordinary 8am-5pm working hours.

-         Ability to work under minimal supervision.

-         Computer proficiency, especially in use of Microsoft word and internet.

Terms of Employment: 2 Years Contract, renewable upon successful performance with 6 months probation.

-         Identify advisory services needs and ensure that these are met.

-         Support collection of agriculture data and pests and diseases deleterious to agriculture production.

-         To advise and provide information to farmers on marketing and trading activities, input supply, storage and production processing.

-         Support verification of technology inputs with sub county and parish procurement committees for their procurement.

Qualifications and experience:

-         Must have a minimum of diploma or any other qualification from a recognized institution in the field of Crop Production and /or Veterinary Medicine / Animal Husbandry.

-         At least 1 year’s experience in Agricultural extension and working with farmers.

-         Must be fluent in local language with good training, communication and reporting skills.

-         Experience in local government, previous participation in NAADS program or agricultural sector production related programs and knowledge or working area are added advantage.

-         Computer literacy in word processing and spread sheet packages will be added advantage.
