Chief Finance Officer Job- PEARL Microfinance

Post: Chief Finance Officer
Reports to: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER.

Purpose of the job:
To plan, direct, and control the financial resources of the company so that all financial obligations are met and to ensure satisfactory overall financial management

KEY RESULT AREAS:
• To play a leading role in fundraising operational and loan funds and to ensure good internal liquidity management and efficient fund management.
• Taking a leading role in annual budgeting process, devel¬oping and managing systems of financial planning and control and production of monthly management reports.
• Ensuring preparation of accurate and timely periodic statements, monthly reconciliation of balance sheet items, tax planning, general ledger management and maintenance of a proper payments system.
• Approving payments up to authorized limits and taking a leading role in developing, implementing and reviewing the accounting manual and ensuring adherence to it.
• Managing the performance of all staff in finance depart¬ment, training, coaching and mentoring staff.
• To address identified training needs to ensure effective utilization of staff in finance department.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the CEO.

Education:
• A degree from a recognized university in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce or its equivalent.
• A professional qualification in ACCA, CPA, MBA or its equivalent.
• Work experience of at least 3 years in a similar position, Banking / or microfinance.
