JOB TITLE: O/c Relationship Management Unit
RANK: Principal Banking Officer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure customer service efficiency through providing a focal point for query handling, establishment of ongoing business financial needs and timely processing of customer documentation within own portfolio and pro-actively in support of other portfolios to engender customer satisfaction.
• Providing lending support to the bank's public sector customers through advice, guidance on bank lending requirements and the process of access to credit facilities plus ensuring close monitoring and liaison with internal bank functions charged with credit management of existing facilities.
• Provide market intelligence into the products development process so as to develop relevant products for the bank's chosen markets.
•Monitor borrowing clients closely to ensure that the quality of the bank’s loans portfolio is kept within the defined acceptable limits.
•To ensure compliance to statutory regulations relevant to the department
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A second class and above degree in Administration, Economics, Statistics an recognized University.
• A Masters Degree or professional qualification in a related field is an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE:
• Track record of not less than five (5) years in a commercial banking environment. Specifically, the candidate must have been involved in business relationship acquisition, retention and management for a 'public sector client base over the period.
• Thorough understanding of the Financial services industry and knowledge of various bank products.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
• Good analytical and numerical skills / data rational.
• Excellent report writing skills,
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
• Proven networking competencies in the Public Sector.
• Innovative: Generates ideas, shows ingenuity and thinks up solutions.
• Forward planning: Prepares well in advance, enjoys setting targets, and
