Person Specifications:
* Must be trained at registered level or its equivalent from a rec¬ognized Institution.
* Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council.
Key activities:
* Receiving patients, registering admissions, discharges and deaths.
* Carrying out antenatal care with emphasis on identifying high_risk cases and refer them to hospital.
* Providing Nursing Care services to patients.
* Keeping patients comfortable and ensuring a healthy environ¬ment.
* Preparing and carrying out sterile procedures.
* Participating in bedside nursing procedures as a member of the caring team.
* Participating in Doctors/Clinical officers ward rounds.
* Preparing patients for meals and participating in service them,
* Managing and accounting for allocated resources.
* Participating in research activities.
* Imparting knowledge and skills to students and staff.
* Adhering to Professional Code of Conduct and Ethics.
* Compiling daily ward reports and handover to in-coming shift.

Kisoro District Local Government in collaboration with Doctors for Global Health (DGH) an International NGO invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the vacant posts which exist in Kisoro District Local Government. Applications should be submitted in triplicate on PSC Form No. 3(2008) to the Secretary, Kisoro District Service Commission P.O Box 123 Kisoro, to be received not later than 2nd September 2010.
