Peace Building Manager Job - Mercy Corps

Job Title: Peace building Manager (Level 6) based in Kaabong, Uganda

The Project Manager will provide managerial support and programmatic direction while working effectively within a team setting to ensure program objectives are met. The Project Manager has overall responsibility for daily management of all peace building activities that include supervising, training and report writing and work closely with other peace building implementers.

All applicants for this job must have:

· An advanced degree in conflict management, peace building and community development or related field with five years related work experience (two years in higher level mgt).

· Ability to engage with communities to understand the various dynamics and interact effectively with diverse ethnic groups.

· Experience in conducting training and workshops.

· Experience with monitoring and evaluation.

· Training in Conflict Prevention tools, methodologies and practices required

· Spoken and written English and Karamajong proficiency is essential.
