POST: RADIOGRAPHER.

Person Specifications:
* Must have a Diploma in Medical Radiography or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
* Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
Key activities:
* Liaising with ward managers in the preparation of patients for radiographic investigation and treatment.
* Ensuring that patients are protected from radiation and radioac¬tive materials,
* Carrying out radiographic imaging and submit reports to Clinicians.
* Managing and accounting for allocated resources.
* Ensuring that processed films conform to set standards.
* Referring cases needing specialized imaging to the Senior Radiographer.
* Ensuring that equipment is secure, functional and well main¬tained.
* Requisitioning for equipment and necessary supplies for radi¬ographic activities.
* Participating in research acclivities.
* Adhering to Professional Code of Conduct and Ethics.
* Compiling and submitting reports.

Kisoro District Local Government in collaboration with Doctors for Global Health (DGH) an International NGO invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the vacant posts which exist in Kisoro District Local Government. Applications should be submitted in triplicate on PSC Form No. 3(2008) to the Secretary, Kisoro District Service Commission P.O Box 123 Kisoro, to be received not later than 2nd September 2010.
