POST : PETROLEUM OFFICER, (NPIS)

AGE : 21 YEARS AND ABOVE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized University/Institution.
He/she should possess the following competencies:
• Team work skills
• Analytical skills
• Good communication skills
• Records and information management skills
• Information communication technology
• Planning, organizing and coordinating
• Ethics and integrity
DUTIES:
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Petroleum Officer (NPIS) in performing the following duties:
• Maintaining information resource centre for the department.
• Reviewing and drawing attention to publications and other articles on downstream petroleum industry.
• Assisting the SPO/NPIS in managing database users actions including disaster, recovery and backup.
• Organizing and maintaining a Library containing all publications both internal and external.
• Assisting the SPO/NPIS in collection, processing and analysis of petroleum information and data.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
