Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Applicants must have:
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Information Systems, or related area
• Qualification / Certification in Business Processes design and documentation
• Qualification / Certification in presentation design and presenting
• Qualification / Certification in Business Support Systems ideally in Telecommunication Industries
• Qualification / Certification in Project Management
• At least 3 years experience in BSS (especially Billing and Customer Care / MIS) front end applications and back end systems in the Telecommunication Industry
• At least 3 years experience in designing, improving and documenting business processes
• At least 3 years experience in a computing environment at a administrator or software developer level
• At least 3 years experience of working in a heterogeneous Systems environment (Microsoft Operating Systems / Linux / Unix / Sun Solaris)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To provide business support to all Uganda Telecom business units in order to understand the business needs and translate them into BSS requirements
• To liaise with the Data-Centre Team to provide expert support and systems management for assigned systems and applications within agreed SLA’s
• To test new and upgraded applications before implementation and rollout
• To provide User Acceptance Test environment in conjunction with the Project Sponsor/Owner
• To document updates and version control documents so as to ensure adherence to policy, IS procedures and documentation standards
• To continuously improve and document Business Support Processes so as to ensure the highest possible level of integrity and support of all IT-Systems towards the business

• Proven Experience with MS Sharepoint technology
• Proven experience with Linux / UNIX is an added advantage

• SQL query writing experience, ProClarity experience (a plus) VB/VBA/VB Script experience (a plus) and Crystal Reports experience

Job Title: Interconnect Billing Data Analyst

Applicants must have:

• At least 3 years experience in B/OSS (especially Mediation, Rating, Interconnect Billing, Telecom Billing) front end applications and back end systems in the Telecommunication Industry
• At least 3 years experience in interconnect billing product implementation and customization
• Thorough experience of manipulation of call details records of any service, i.e. Voice, SMS, etc
• At least 2 years of hands on experience in Oracle 9i/10g, SQL and PL/SQL
• 2+ years Unix/Linux experience, including shell scripting
• 2+ experience of high level scripting language like TCL and Perl
• High level knowledge on Automated Reconciliation, Multi Party Settlements, Interfaces, Reporting & Complex call analysis
• Experience in maintenance of Interconnect billing application, trouble-shooting, problem analysis & proposal for enhancement

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establishing, implementing and reporting on Interconnect Mediation Revenue Assurance controls
• CDR Processing and reconciliation with the switch/network element statistics
• Implementation and modification of Business rules and initiating change requests for Mediation
• Investigating and analysis of problems/incidents related to Billing System, Mediation, SMS-C, and MSCs and other connected Network Elements.
• Supporting International Business on CDR or interconnect reconciliation issues
• Installation, Configuration, O&M and Troubleshooting of Interconnect Billing System and Performance Reporting.
• Managing complex billing and collection related investigations and interconnect disputes
• Delivery of accurate and timely Interconnect Billing Reports

Job title: Business Intelligence Officer

Applicants must have:
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of direct BI and Data Warehouse.
• Extensive expertise with business intelligence tools (Microsoft solution preferred); designing, reporting and delivering analytical solutions; data management and warehousing, and the strategic use of information.
• Proven knowledge of at least one high-level programming language like C/C++,Java, Visual Basic is required. Scripting languages e.g. Perl and Python; in addition to advance shell scripting
• Proven Experience with MS Sharepoint technology, Linux / UNIX
• Proven knowledge of reporting and application server technologies e.g. Working with Crystal Reports, BART, JBOSS, Oracle AS.
• Proficiency in Data Warehouse technologies (Design aspects of Data Warehouse, ETL, Data integration etc) and Business Inteligence
• At least 4 years of experience with application architecture and solution development with JEE(J2EE) or .NET
