Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Applicants must have:
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Information Systems, or related area
• Qualification / Certification in Business Processes design and documentation
• Qualification / Certification in presentation design and presenting
• Qualification / Certification in Business Support Systems ideally in Telecommunication Industries
• Qualification / Certification in Project Management
• At least 3 years experience in BSS (especially Billing and Customer Care / MIS) front end applications and back end systems in the Telecommunication Industry
• At least 3 years experience in designing, improving and documenting business processes
• At least 3 years experience in a computing environment at a administrator or software developer level
• At least 3 years experience of working in a heterogeneous Systems environment (Microsoft Operating Systems / Linux / Unix / Sun Solaris)
Duties & Responsibilities:
• To provide business support to all Uganda Telecom business units in order to understand the business needs and translate them into BSS requirements
• To liaise with the Data-Centre Team to provide expert support and systems management for assigned systems and applications within agreed SLA’s
• To test new and upgraded applications before implementation and rollout
• To provide User Acceptance Test environment in conjunction with the Project Sponsor/Owner
• To document updates and version control documents so as to ensure adherence to policy, IS procedures and documentation standards
• To continuously improve and document Business Support Processes so as to ensure the highest possible level of integrity and support of all IT-Systems towards the business
