    * Performance tuning of instance and sql queries
    * Installation of Oracle 11G R1 and R2 RAC databases on AIX
    * Cross platform migrations from HP-Unix to AIX.
    * Installing, Managing and Monitor Oracle Real Application Cluster nodes over Oracle 10G.
    * Installation oracle software in non-interactive mode through putty in Solaris and AIX servers.
    * Patching to new version of oracle software and creation of database manually.
    * Identifying performance issues using ADDM, AWR and Grid control utilities.
    * Implementing Transparent Application Failover (TAF) functionality for application in RAC.
    * Monitor and automate database growth projection as part of Capacity Management.
    * Up gradation and patching of database in QA and production environment.
    * Tuning server parameters to maintain optimized performance of database.
    * Partition real tables in database to use table data efficiently maintaining database performance.
    * Tuning various application sql statements using various hints or indexes in the environment.
    * Rebuilding and recompiling Invalid database objects whenever necessary.
    * Exporting database using datapump and normal exp when required.
    * Implementing Backup strategies like RMAN, Hot Backup, Cold Backup & Logical Backup and automating them using shell scripts which are later transferred to DLT
    * Handle and Optimize Export/Import of Data and load data using SQL* loader
    * Manage Users, Roles and User Profiles, change the Database User Schema
    * Debugging and troubleshooting the oracle errors using Sql text, Sql Monitor and Toad.
    * Creating and managing tablespaces for availability of databases
    * Performing daily administrative and performance tuning tasks like monitoring the Diagnostic files, Background Trace files and Users Trace files.

Position Description: Provide leadership and oversight to the monitoring, evaluation and research components for a USAID-funded, 5-year, multi-million dollar health communication program in Uganda. Availability of position is contingent upon issuance of a USAID Request for Applications (RFA)/Request for proposals (RFP), and selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval. This position will be based in Kampala. This position will be responsible for the design and implementation of the program agenda and will develop the monitoring, evaluation and reporting (MER) systems that include appropriate indicators, baseline data, targets and a plan to evaluate performance and produce timely accurate and complete reporting.

The Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor will: Provide technical oversight for designing, development, planning, implementation of M&E component in a health communication program; Operationalize the project PMP: data collection, verification and prepares project performance reports periodically and as required Ensure appropriate data collection tools and systems are in place and collects required data, including Management of Information Systems (MIS) and any other systems necessary to meet requirements for FHI 360, USAID and other stakeholders Participate in development of quality assurance systems in the program. Identifies monitoring and evaluation technical assistance needs for subprojects and provides technical assistance via training, mentorship, etc. or coordinates its provision. Provide on-site and desk technical assistance in designing and implementation of data collection tools to implementing partners Offer technical support in use of tools for purposes of collecting, analysis and synthesis of monitoring data Assist in the compilation of quarterly, annual and ad hoc program data and reports Review sub-agreements for monitoring and evaluation Participate in developing strategic and implementation plans Participate in any project special studies

Minimal Requirements: Bachelor's degree or its international equivalent in Public Health, Social Sciences, or other relevant discipline. Master's Degree or higher preferred. 8+ years working in monitoring, evaluation and research in the public health field, with progressively increasing level of responsibility. Ability to travel within country or region and internationally if needed. Demonstrated expertise in rigorous quantitative and qualitative research and analytical methods; Proven experience in research/study design and implementation, including design and data analysis of quantitative and qualitative studies, rapid appraisals, etc.; Demonstrated hands-on practical experience setting up and managing MER systems for health programs in developing countries; Familiarity with PEPFAR indicators and reporting requirements; Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills, including oral presentation skills; Experience in knowledge management and dissemination of research findings; Demonstrated knowledge of evaluation designs for communication programs in Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition, Family Planning, HIV/AIDS and TB programs as well as knowledge in other health programs in developing nations; Working knowledge of USAID operations, finance and administrative services practices; Program management and implementation experience in Uganda; Relevant computer software skills (including, at a minimum, the standard applications in MS Office); Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Demonstrated ability in managing partners and staff supervision; Strong intercultural supervisory and team building skills and experience; Ability to work independently with initiative to manage high volume work flow; Experience working with an international organization will be an added advantage; Experience working with multiple stakeholders will be an added advantage.

Position Description: This position will be responsible for the overall financial and administrative leadership and oversight to a USAID-funded, 5-year, multi-million dollar health communication program in Uganda. Availability of position is contingent upon issuance of a USAID Request for Applications (RFA)/Request for proposals (RFP), and selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval. This position reports to the Chief of Party or Deputy Chief of Party and will be based in Kampala.

The Director, Finance will: Provide monitoring and financial oversight to strategic and local partners who are recipients of project funds. Provide technical assistance in financial, accounting and administrative matters relating to the implementation of the project. Review capacity of implementing partners on a regular basis and provide appropriate training to build their capacity. Conduct periodic site-visits to partners to review their financial records and internal control systems. Provide project management with periodic financial and management reports for the project. Prepare donor reports including quarterly financial reports, pipeline and accruals report. Liaise with external and internal auditors in the review of country operations and the control environment. Ensure procurement process is compliant to FHI 360 policies and donor regulations. Supervise the finance and administration staff.

Minimal Requirements: Bachelor's degree or its international equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related fields required. Masters degree and Certified Public Accountant - CPA (K) / CPA (U) preferred. 10 + years of finance management experience, with minimum 8 years experience in administrative and financial management of large-scale, complex, international development assistance programs. Ability to travel within country or region and internationally if needed. Significant exposure to project accounting, sub-grantee management, and management of USAID funds, including contracts and grants; Demonstrated experience and skills in developing and managing large budgets; Program management and implementation experience in Uganda; Relevant computer software skills (including, at a minimum, the standard applications in MS Office), high level proficiency with MS Excel, and experience working with online banking systems; Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Demonstrated ability in managing partners and staff supervision; Strong intercultural supervisory and team building skills and experience; Ability to work independently with initiative to manage high volume work flow; Demonstrated experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for an international NGO; Demonstrated experience and good working knowledge of USAID and other US Government organizations' financial reporting requirements, compliance, rules and regulations is required; Experience working with an international organization will be an added advantage.
