Logistics Assistant
Reports to: Pharmaceutical Systems strengthening Technical Advisor
Job Purpose: To assist in strengthening pharmaceutical & laboratory logistics services leading to improvement in logistics of health commodities in the supported district health facilities.

Key result areas
Receive and verify all drug & Laboratory supplies requests for all supported facilities and prepare allocations

Keep a database of all received reports/ accountabilities from facilities and generate quarterly reports on reporting rates by supported sites.

Participate in building capacity for staff involved in the health programs, including logistics management training, with preparations of training materials and budgeting.

Provide support supervision to facilities to ensure logistics systems strengthening, monitoring and evaluation.

Ability to create successful relationships and partnerships with Suppliers that are key in the Network Modernization Project’s success, and as issues arise also has the ability to resolve key contractual issues with minimal supervision or escalation.

Ability to project manage Suppliers, Partners and internal Sprint personnel in a matrix management structure.

Preferred Qualifications:
- College Degree required, Master Degree preferred.
- PMP or Six Sigma Certification (or in progress of completion) preferred.
- Telecommunications experience preferred.
- Prior experience in managing large-scale projects required.
- Prior experience in managing Vendors, Suppliers or affiliated Partners required.

Major Responsibilities: Provides subject matter expertise as well as high-level professional and analytical expertise to the 3G RAN Capacity Planning team. Representative duties include: long term capacity planning and analysis of the different network elements, such as Switch, EVDO RNC and CMDA BSC. The Network Planner III will provide technical expertise in the form of technical problem research, switch planning assumptions and standards, technology training sessions and the development of methods for new hardware introduction to their Ericsson Teammates. The Network Planner III would develop technology assumptions and business cases with the various wireless infrastructure vendors around the introduction of new technology and software retrofit requirements. The Planner III should be able to develop high and low level business/budget analysis based on network forecasts. Additionally, the Network Planner III would identifies OM requirements and develop calculations and thresholds to accurately monitor network elements.

This position will require in depth understanding of CDMA 1X and EVDO networks. Detail understanding of Core and RAN elements of various OEM vendors is required. A successful candidate will work with other departments, and equipment vendors, to ensure network quality of service is maintained and the introduction of new or upgraded technologies meet our future customer demands. Experience with traffic planning, capital budgeting, and forecasting are preferred. Should be able to handle multiple simultaneous complex projects, and make technical decisions with limited guidance.

Minimum Qualifications: (Job related skills, experience, and education): Four year college degree in EE or related field or equivalent experience. Minimum 7 years of experience in telecommunication industry. Proficient in Microsoft applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point). Knowledge and working experience of network capacity planning tools. Job Requirements:

· BS in EE or CS (or related Science major) with 10 years of work experience. Or MS in EE or CS with 8 years of work experience.
