POSITION: PROJECT OFFICER
To support in project coordination and administration.

Specific areas of responsibility will include
i. Assisting the WRAUg National Coordinator in the planning and implementation of Alliance activities
ii.Communication with WRAUg members and partners, including; establishing and updating members contact databases and information,
iii. Participation in planning of WRAUg workshops and meetings including documentation of workshop/ meeting proceedings,
iv. Website and Newsletter Updates,
v. Documentation: Drafting, reviewing and editing reports, board papers and other documents as requested by the Board, vi. Ensuring smooth running of the office ie managing relevant office supplies, managing phone calls, emails and other correspondence and communication
vii. Processing financial accountability returns in close collaboration with AMREF Financial Department
viii. Representing WRAUg in selected meetings and task forces.
ix. Maintaining confidentiality of all data and information generated by WRAUg

Knowledge and Skills
1. Skills in simple accounting and bookkeeping
2. At least 2-3 years experience working as a Project Officer or similar post, preferably within a health-oriented NGO
3. Ability to work with member organizations, the Government and development partners.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office and e-mail administration.
5. Good command of English
6. Excellent interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work under pressure and beyond designated working hours when necessary
8. Abiiity to work with minimum supervision.
9. Excellent oral and written communication skills

Qualifications and Experience
A degree or diploma in social science, health, administration or any other relevant discipline.

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical assistance to program staff and partners in reviewing and developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, performance indicators, systems etc
* Support organizational learning by documenting best practices, program impact, and dissemination of lessons learnt
* Develop strategies to integrate strong M and E aspects with¬in the organization
* Coordinate program baseline surveys, midterm reviews,end of project reviews and impact assessments and other / relevant studies as per the program's approved M and E and
share results within ChildFund Uganda and other external stakeholders
* Develop management information systems in collaboration with program and partner staff to include monitoring forms, tracking and reporting mechanisms and the development/maintenance of computerized databases
* Provide technical support to staff and partners in developing M and E toots and in proposal development.
* Establish mechanisms for capturing, analysing, reporting and interpreting M and E findings/lessons learned and best practices vis a vis program goals, objectives, and activities
* Participate in the identification of M and E training needs and organize or conduct training for staff and partners
* Carry out regular visits to the field to assess program performance in line with the budgets, work plans and advise in order to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency in the implementation of the projects.
*Network with other M and E professionals in ChildFund International and other partners to ensure compatibility of Child Fund International work with local, national, regional and global development trends.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and attributes
* A Master's degree Statistics, Social Development, Social Sciences or related area
* A Post-graduate qualification in Monitoring and Evaluation is desirable
* High computer proficiency including deep knowledge of statistical and data management packages i.e. SPSS, EPINFO and Database management in Access
* A minimum of five (5) years experience in program monitoring and evaluation preferably with an international NGO
* Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing M and E systems including capacity building of local institutions, performance tracking, impact evaluations and surveys.
* Demonstrated aptitude for teamwork.
* Highly developed analytical, problem solving and communication skills
* Ability to assimilate and process information on a wide range of issues
* Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders including program staff, partners, communities
