Job Title: Driver
Reports to: Accountant
Main Purpose of the Job:
To drive Project vehicles as required and monitor their condition
Key Outputs:
• Vehicles carefully and safely driven
• Condition of vehicles reported
• Records of vehicle movement and maintenance well kept
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drive Project motor vehicles as instructed
• Ensure maximum security of vehicle and its accessories when under his/her charge
• Ensure safety of passengers and cargo under his charge
• Monitor condition of vehicle and promptly report the condition to the supervisor
• Maintain a record of movements for the vehicle(s) assigned to him/ her
Person Specifications:
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education
• Possession of a driving permit for classes B,CM and DL
Additional Training:
• Training in defensive driving
• Basic knowledge of Motor Vehicle Mechanics
• 3 years experience as a driver

Job Title: Accounts/ Records Assistant
Reports to: Project Coordinator
Main Purpose of the Job:
To ensure that all financial records of the project are accurately written, properly maintained, and regular/ periodic returns properly compiled and submitted, receive cash and cheques payable to the project, and ensure safe custody of such receipts and to pay authorized payments
Key Outputs:
• Established internal controls implemented
• Accounting and financial management reports prepared on time
• Provide HR and Administrative roles to the project
• Adequate technical support to CSOs provided
• Books of accounts balanced and posted as required
• Vouchers filed properly and authorized payments made
• Ensure that established internal controls are implemented
• Review all payment requests for completeness and adequacy of supporting documentation
• Ensure that activity funds advanced are accounted for with in 48 hours after the completion of such an activity
Person Specifications:
• 1st degree preferably in B.Com (accounting), BBA (Accounting) or second stage ACCA or 3rd stage CPA
• 3 years in a position with heavy accounting responsibilities in a reputable Project or organization preferably NGO
• Knowledge of financial accounting procedures
• knowledge of planning, budgeting, reporting and auditing

To coordinate, track, implement and report project activities to ensure their effective and efficient implementation
Key Outputs:
• Institutional and technical capacity of selected and report project activities to ensure ther effective and efficient implementation
• Selected HIV/AIDS CSOs of targeted region mobilized and supported to undertake joint planning to address HIV/AIDS issues unique to Karamoja
• Performance of CSO HIV/AIDS activities monitored for effectiveness
Person Specifications:
• Bachelors Degree in social Sciences, Education, SWASA, Development Studies, Community and adult education, community psychology, or counseling and guidance
• Post graduate diploma in Project Planning and management
• Training in HIV/AIDS Counseling
• 3 years experience in a HIV/AIDs work two of which should have been in supervisory position

Main Purpose of the Job:
To provide overall leadership and management to the project, so as to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of project activities to achieve the set goals and objectives

Key Outputs:
• Project resources utilized in the most effective and efficient way
• Project goals and objectives achieved within the set period
• HIV/AIDS CSOs and targeted districts mobilized and supported to undertake joint planning to address HIV/ AIDS issues unique to Karamoja region
• Advocacy for TASO services and project activities well planned and managed
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Take overall responsibility for the formulation of project work plans and budgets
• Direct the establishment of effective and efficient management and operating structures and systems
• Provide appropriate guidance to the staff of the project, and continuously ensure that the project has all the necessary resources to achieve the set targets
• Build a motivated project team and foster strong and productive teamwork among project staff
Person Specifications:
• Bachelors degree in education, Social Sciences plus post graduate training in project planning and management or Human Resources Management and Administration
• Masters degree in management, development Studies or a health related field will be an added advantage
