Job Title: Deputy Programme Manager (DPM)
Job description
The DPM will assist the Permanent Secretary through the Programme Manager (PM) in the overall direction and management of the PMU. The responsibilities and duties of the DPM will involve general administration, personnel matters and advisory functions including planning and monitoring.
Qualifications and experience.
a) The post requires a relevant University Degree in Social Science; and relevant post-graduate qualifications in Project Planning and Management and computer literacy.
b) With at least eight years of overall experience, at least four years' experience in supervising and managing development projects, especially with donor-funding is expected.
c) Existing knowledge of democratic and social accountability issues in Uganda is preferred.
d) Knowledge of the EOF procedures would be an asset.
e) The post requires a thorough understanding of the operations of Government and hence relevant experience in Uganda is preferable.
f) Experience in working with multi-sectoral institutions;
