Duties and responsibilities

The Head of Mission works under the supervision of the Great Lakes Regional Coordinator and, for administrative (including human resources), financial and logistical matters, directly under the supervision of the Admin and Finance Director. She/He determines ASF Uganda's operational strategy with respect to the Organisation's vision and objectives as defined by ASF Uganda's strategic plan. She/He is responsible for the proper management of existing projects and the development of new programmes through an analysis of the context, needs and funding opportunities. She/He is also responsible for the proper management of administrative and financial matters for ASF Uganda.

* Supervise the implementation of ASF projects and ensure that they achieve their objectives

* Oversee the proposal and preparation of project grants and follow up with donors

* Ensure the quality of financial and progress reports and transmit such reports to donors within the agreed timeframes

* Analyse the legal, political, economic and social context of the country so as to determine appropriate strategic intervention

* Propose projects for intervention and oversee the drafting of new project proposals in accordance with the needs identified in ASF Uganda's Plan of Action

* Develop and maintain good working relationships with donors and undertake all necessary negotiations on future programmes

* Represent ASF at meetings with local and national authorities, donors, local and international NGOs and establish a network with NGOs involved in justice

* Lead and coach ASF Uganda's team, ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the mission's structure and revise according to the programme needs

* Regularly analyse the context, identify risks and review security rules accordingly

* Ensure sound administrative, financial and logistical management of ASF Uganda in compliance with ASF and donor procedures and national regulations

* Regularly check the budgetary coverage of the mission and ensure that projects are implemented within their budget

* Validate projected cash applications, financial reports to be provided to headquarters and to donors

* Ensure regular monitoring of the use of resources

Requirements

Essential

* At least 3 years of project management experience (including financial and human resources management), preferably with an international legal development organisation or NGO

* Work experience in developing countries

* Strong networking skills and ability to engage in consultative and partnership processes with local stakeholders and government officials

* Experience of fundraising and establishing/maintaining donor relations

* Excellent written and oral skills

* Organisational skills and ability to deal with heavy and diverse workloads and deadlines

* Sound judgment, maturity, patience and flexibility

* Ability to work with people of different cultures

* Fluency in written and spoken English and French is required

* Good computer skills, inc. Excel

Desirable

* Degree in law from a recognized university

* Work experience as a lawyer

# Provides quarterly updates through the RSC Executive Secretary to the Assistant-Secretary-General, Department of Field Support on achievements and performance of the RSC in the context of the Global Field Support Strategy; including providing relevant performance data and analysis for the review of legislative bodies (General Assembly).
# Responsible for coherent communications structures and systems through the development and implementation of an RSC communications plan to ensure that appropriate information is delivered to RSC mission stakeholders and staff and adequate feedback is obtained. He/she is the focal point for communication with the RSC Steering Committee reporting through the RSC Executive Secretary. Position: Accounts Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities
The Accounts Assistant will be an employee of the Africa Innovations Institute (Afrll) and accountable to the Chairman of Afrll, through the Project Leader. In particular, his/her duties will be as follows:

a)Preparing monthly Bank reconciliation statements
b) Ensuring the payments are processed within the approved budget and authorized by the Chairman
C Verifying and ensuring that receipts or documents for accountability are correct
f) Maintaining cash registers accurately and efficiently
g) Compiling and submitting financial requests for the field based activities
h) Writing and updating vote book regularly project
j) Carry out any of the duties assigned by the Project Leader and Chairman of Afrll.

Qualification and experience
a. He/she should be holding a Diploma in accounting option
b. Computer literacy in Ms Excel, Power Point and other accounting packages is a
c. Two (2) Years working experience in an academic Institute Terms of engagement successful candidate will be giver one-year contract on probation. Job Title: Manager for Project Field
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties of the Manager of the project Field Station are key to the success and proper running of the field-based activities of the project. He/she will be an employee of the Africa Innovations Institute (AMI), and accountable to the Chairman of AMI, through the Project Leader. He/she will have the overall responsibility for
a) Supporting the Project Leader in coordinating all planned field activities related to the project engaged for specific activities. c) Ensure trial ail project activities are implemented in an efficient and effective
e) Participate in the planning, implementation and reporting of project activities, as specified in the Memorandum of Grant Conditions (MGC) evaluation of activities and outputs
g) Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual reports or any other forms of reports relating to the project resource mobilization) efforts to sustain the project.
i) Undertake such duties as are required for the successful implementation of the

Qualification and experience
The ideal candidate should 'be a holder of a Bachelor degree in Social Sciences and science-related disciplines. Experience and specialized skills in proposal writing, research and project planning and management will be an added advantage. In skill's and should be prepared to work and promote team spirit. The preferred
candidate will have excellent knowledge of the most common computer packages e.g. MS. Office, database eg. MS Access and analytical programs such as SPSS,
SAS or Genstat.
