Cavendish University Uganda - Jobs for Students

CUU will also do everything we can to help students find future employment by providing references and letters of recommendation based on their record when at CUU.
Industrial Attachment Programme (IAP)

CUU is aware of the need for all our students to be in employment in this respect we do make prior arrangements with other organisations with industrial attachment placements. As such companies assist us in fulfilling the educational needs of our students who are currently in there final year, by giving them an opportunity to be able to gain the practical knowledge in there field.

Since some of our students are undergraduates and they have little or no practical knowledge, we understand that there is a great need in the country to have students gain that vital job experience in the course of their studies which will in turn make them appreciate the subject matter of their courses and at the same time make them integrate much faster in their first jobs after their studies. This will also benefit the employers who will not spend much time and resources on training the new employees.

The students in their final academic year work on Real-life Industry-based Projects / Situations, which enable them to apply what they have learnt during their course in an actual working environment.

The objective of the Industrial Attachment Programme (IAP) is manifold. Firstly, it puts into practice the knowledge and skills acquired by the student with regards to understanding and applying the concepts and methodologies learnt in our University for applications in a real-life working environment. This helps to boost the students’ competency, especially in their area of specialization.

Secondly, it develops the students’ interpersonal and collaborative skills through working in teams and with professionals from the industry. This prepares the student for ready absorption into the different industries.

Last but not least, the Industrial Attachment Programme helps forge and support a closer relationship between the Organisation and Cavendish University Uganda.
