Responsibilities
Interpreting the National Environment Act and other related laws and advising on legal and other disputes;
Reviewing the existing sectoral laws in collaboration with other Institutions;
Assisting in the development of district by-laws and ensuring that they are in conformity with the National Environment Act;
Advise on compliance and enforcement of environmental laws and regulations in collaboration with other departments and Institutions;
Offering technical support to districts in the enforcement of the environmental laws;
Initiating legislation in the reform areas of multi sectoral concerns such as pollution management, wetlands management etc..;


Qualifications: An enrolled advocate with a minimum of a Bachelor of Laws from a recognized University with a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice

Experience: Should have at least a minimum of five(5) years working experience in Legal Practice in a reputable organization/ firm and relevant expertise in enforcement and compliance of environmental laws.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives deliveries including supplies/commodities and then verifies them against documentation.
Enters data into data base or appropriate software to support tracking and accountability.
Ensure proper and safe storage of goods and supplies.
Regularly review prescriptions to assure accuracy and to evaluate their suitability.
Provide information and support regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage
Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, inventories, control records for narcotics and controlled drugs.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a reputable institution or its equivalent.
The Pharmacist must be registered by the pharmaceutical society ofUganda or its equivalent; if trained and practicing outside the country
At least three years’ working experience of which 2 years must be in HIV related field is required.
Past experience in pharmaceutical warehousing is an added advantage.
Adept at using MS office applications such as Word, Excel, and electronic logistics management systems.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills of both English and Luganda.

We are seeking for suitable candidates to fill the position of Executive Director/Chief Operations Officer.

Job purpose:
To provide leadership in establishing and implementing an overall Vision and Mission for the bank in all delivery channel services to ensure that the bank is sustainable, profitable and best provider of innovative micro finance financial services that meets the needs of the economically disadvantaged in Uganda.
To develop a market-oriented culture within the bank’s outlets that maximizes the bank’s triple bottom line of outreach, sustainability and transformation.
To help the Bank manage adverse impacts resulting from a weak competitive position or from poor choice of strategy, markets, products, activities and structures including the risk of direct or indirect impacts resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems or from external events.
To ensure that the bank has reliable and high-quality MIS and IT services including development, implementation testing, staff training and support of T24 and all other computer systems in support of the Bank’s targets, mandates and in line with best practice IT principles and policies.
Responsible for the development and implementation of the bank’s strategic marketing plan which include corporate brand, product and product delivery and client service strategies.

Key Result Areas:
Manage the bank’s delivery channel services and ensure the services are commercially viable.
Oversee and co-ordinate the development of all outlet customer accounts and services business plans that ensure profitability of the Bank.
Oversee the establishment and maintenance of internal operating systems in all outlets which ensure compliance with the bank’s own policies and procedures including Central Bank Legislation.
Oversee the market research, marketing and product development activities around savings products to ensure a strong market position for the bank.
Oversee the Human Resource Management of the outlets and ensure it reflects the values and culture of Opportunity Bank Uganda Ltd.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education and Experience
Masters or Bachelor’s degree in business related subject from a reputable University College e.g. Commerce, Business Administration Economics


Knowledge and Skills
Advanced experience, knowledge and training in accounting, financial and/or credit analysis or related areas.
Advanced knowledge of local Banking and Financial Services (Act) banking compliance regulations, banking and business law, local employment and labour Laws, bank operational policies and procedures, and Micro lending products and services.
Proven commercial skills in business development, marketing and client relationship building.
Excellent organization, communication, delegation, performance Management, Leadership and Team building Experience skills and training.
