Job Title: Head Driver
The Head Driver shall be responsible for supervising a team of 7 drivers, planning and coordinating transportation needs, handling insurance and maintenance issues, ensuring proper vehicle documentation and efficient vehicle operation and passenger safety, submitting among others overtime and monthly fuel consumption reports, providing driving services and take on other responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge of SMP’s districts of operation and previous work with USAID- funded projects is preferred.
Qualifications:
Holder of valid driver’s license (with at least 3 groups ) with at least 10 years of driving experience
An A’ Level certificate with specialized driving/vehicle courses and fluent in English
Good communication, mathematical and mechanical skills
Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel
Excellent time management and problem solving skills
A team player with ability to lead and motivate others,
Quick-thinking, innovative, organised, honest, dependable and can work independently
Strong sense of self motivation and interpersonal skills
Ability to professionally handle stressful and difficult situations
