Event log analysis at regular interval for maintaining the integrity of database/servers.
Hardware sizing – Capacity planning for the OS Parameters like CPU, Memory & DiskCheck routing table in UNIX servers.
Check cluster status daily including resource group and device group.
Update the EMC storage disk space like used and free space availability.

Processes

Preparation of RCA for incidents.
Implementation of Changes based on processes.
Keeping Service Desk apprised on all UNIX server issues.
Ensure the closing of UNIX related audit points.
Ensure that there is conformity to the ITIL processes. This includes Change, Problem, Incident Management)Patch deployment plan preparation with test results.

Backups

Ensure that all servers under your domain have a backup application agent.

Licenses

Aprise the IT senior manager on all License issues in your area.
Aprise the IT senior manager on all contract issues in your area.

Security

Server Patch Management.
Ensure the integrity of all root password and policies are implemented.
Ensure the security of all UNIX servers as per policies.

Qualifications.

SUMMARY: Relief International (RI) is currently recruiting Finance Manager candidates for an anticipated multi-year nutrition program in Uganda. The program will increase local capacity to manufacture fortified food products using locally sourced materials and distribute them in Uganda. The Finance Manager will be based in Kampala and travel to other program areas throughout Uganda.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with the Chief of Party and other key personnel to implement, improve and maintain financial management policies, systems, structures, and procedures for the program.
Work closely with partner organizations on their financial accounting and reporting compliance for the project.
Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the finance office through supervision and management.
Plan and supervise work of the program-related finance staff including tracking and monitoring of procurements and expenditures, and establishes and maintains an office purchasing, inventory, and requisition system.
Coordinate compiling of project monthly financial reports for submission to the International Finance Controller and Chief of Party.
Prepare project budget vs. actual reports on a regular monthly basis.
Work closely with the Chief of Party to monitor the project budget.
Assist project officers in ensuring compliance with RI procurements and field accounting policies and procedures, compliance with donor agreement and audit requirements.
Work closely with project officers over the project implementation planning and cash flow projections.
Prepare budget revision in close coordination with Chief of Party when necessary.
Make sure that financial records and backup documentation is ready for internal and external audits.
Works closely with HQ finance team and internal and external auditors.
Travel within Uganda to ensure successful performance and implementation of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS: This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.
At least ten years experience in financial management ; experience on USAID programs highly preferred.
Background/experience in capacity building or similar field preferred.
Highly organized and systems-oriented.
NGO experience and knowledge of donor guideline requirements (e.g. USAID, UN).
Ability to live, work, and travel within Uganda
Previous experience in East Africa; demonstrated experience in Uganda is highly preferred.
Fluency in English required; Swahili highly preferred

Position Description: The WASH Program Manager (PM) will be responsible for implementing ILF's WASH program at a high-quality standard and in accordance with the ILF Uganda country strategy and donor requirements. The WASH PM will be responsible for improving upon the program's current technical and administrative elements and identifying additional improvements as necessary. These improvements will include ensuring that all the necessary project documents, including clarified project proposal and budget; technical needs assessment and baseline survey; technical specification and designs; implementation modality guidance documents; and monitoring tools are established and implemented according to industry best practices. This will be facilitated through extensive fieldwork and support of the ILF WASH team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, prepare, implement, monitor and evaluate water supply project(s).
Undertake field visits to monitor projects, as well as conduct periodic programme reviews to ensure effective and efficient implementation.
Propose and/or undertake action on operational procedures affecting project management and implementation.
Analyse and evaluate data to ensure achievement of objectives and/or takes corrective action when necessary to meet programme/project objectives.
Contribute to the development of the WASH team's strategic work plan, including introduction of new approaches, methods and practices in project management & evaluation and also ensure the achievement of specific objectives.
Ensure proper functioning of all WASH logistics
Meet with local, national, and international agencies or governmental bodies conducting WASH projects to maintain good working relations and potentially coordinate activities

Qualifications - Advanced university degree in Civil Engineering, WatSan Management, Geology or related technical field. - Three years of progressively responsible professional work experience at the international levels in program management, monitoring and evaluation, and drinking water supply area.

Inception Report/Evaluation Work Plan.
Draft report(s) for review with qualitative and quantitative data analysis interface in MS Excel.
Final Impact Evaluation Report, containing an Executive Summary, Process, Findings and . Recommendations of no more than 30 pages. Annexes can be outside this page limit.
Lessons sharing/dissemination document capturing key impact and learning and presented in a reader friendly and marketable format.

Qualifications of Consultant Applicants wishing to be considered for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:
At least 5 years experience in impact evaluation of development /humanitarian work
Knowledge of and experience in child protection, education and livelihood programming in Africa.
Good understanding of the policy and legal environment on children and youth in Uganda
Good Research and monitoring and evaluation skills
Highly driven, dependable and results oriented
Excellent verbal and written skills in English is essential and knowledge of Luo desirable. - Working knowledge of children and young people (CYP) and gender issues locally

Recruitment and Appointment The selected candidate will be contracted for a total of 25 person days and will commence work shortly after recruitment. A service contract will be signed between consultant and WCUK.
