DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Engineer (Rural Water Supply) for performing the following duties:
 Participating in formulation and review of National Plans and project proposals for water and sanitation.
 Facilitating the development materials for communication, promotion and public awareness campaign and dissemination of water and sanitation sub-sector activities.
 Providing technical advice and support to Local Governments and private sector actors engaged in the management of water resources and provision of water and sanitation services.
 Participating in giving support in the organization and coordination of meetings of water sub-sector working group, policy committee, joint sector reviews and other key entities.

DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Communications Officer for performing the following duties:-
 Preparing public relations plans, programmes and activities aimed at projecting a positive image of the Ministry and Sector, and ensuring their implementation.
 Determining, packaging and disseminating information required by different categories of major stakeholders and the public, and ensuring maintenance of a sound feedback mechanism.
 Carrying out media monitoring, analysis and responding to inquiries about the Ministry/Sector so as to promote a positive image and relationship with the media both local and international.
 Researching and preparing media and press briefings, publications about the Ministry/Sector policies, plans, strategies, programmes, initiative and endeavours.
 Sensitizing and advising the management and staff of the Ministry of public relations matters.
 Advocating, building and maintaining good will and a positive image of the Ministry/Sector and the Ministry/Sector to the media.
 Participating in the planning, organizing and implementing major functions of the Ministry/Sector with the relevant technical departments and agencies.
 Managing and accounting for the resources and performance of the Unit.
 Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 Providing technical/professional ICT/IEC support services to technical departments agencies and education institution.
 Lobbying and mobilizing resources to support the development of qualitative, appropriate, accessible and affordable ICT equipment and infrastructure for the Education and Sports Sector.
 Coordinating the development and maintenance of an up-to-date database, information management and communication system for the Ministry and the training of the various categories of users.
 Establishing and promoting strategic collaboration and working linkages with National and International Agencies, and relevant stakeholders in the advancement of the information and records management and dissemination within and out of the Sector.
 Coordinating the preparation of the budgets, work plans and performance reports of the Division and submit them to the relevant authorities.
