Position Summary:
The M7E officer shall be responsible for coordinating the monitoring and evaluation activities of FHi 360 uganda family planning (FP) program activities, focusing specially on data collection systems for measuring project implementation, quality assurance, documentation and reporting. The position oversees implementation of M and E activities in accordance with guidance stipulated by the funding agencies and regularly updates project staff on progress towards implementation of wor plan and designing methods for demonstrating program outcome and impact.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and reviews the program perfomance monitoring plan (PMP)
  • Ensures appropriate data collection tools and systems are in place and collects required data
  • Leads program monitoring activities
  • Identifies monitoring and evaluation TA needs for projects and provides TA
  • Oversees and guides the MiS and project Databases
Required knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge and experience with FP project monitoring and evaluation including routine project monitoring, data quality assessments and project evcaluation.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative evaluation resarch methods
  • Experience in database design, maintenance, data processing and analysis
Education and Qualification
Graduate degree in social sciences, social work, demography or related field and 3-5 years experience in design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation of health/ family planning programs.

Communications Officer Job in Uganda at Civil Society Fund

Job Title: Communications Officer

Position Description and Required competencies:
The communications Officer has the responsibility of planning, preparing, and producing materials geared towards the promotion of CSF. The Communications Officer will ensure professional documentation and broad dissemination of success stories, best practices and lessons learned in HIV/Aids and OVC program implementation to key stakeholders, particularly the Government of Uganda, development partners, the Civil Society, networks of people leaving with HIV/Aids and the general public. The communications officer is responsible for writing, editing, and supporting the production of project reports and other print and online materials including newsletters, brochures and the CSF website. It is also the Communications Officer's duty to maintain and promote the CSF brand.

Required Experience and Academic Qualifications:
The proposed Candidate must have:
  • Qualification in communication at degree level
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in communications management and stakeholder reporting preferably in the health sector.
  • Previous experience working in a media house
  • proven interpersonal and communication Skills.
  • A strong capacity for analysis and information management.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop and maintain electronic and physical documentation and filling systems for the important project documents, deliverables and references.
  • Maintain and update communications calender
  • Update photograph archives
  • Manage contacts lists including sub-grantees, CSF partners, and media contacts
  • Review and update CSF sub-grantee profile
  • Assist the Communication Specialist to; Write success stories highlighting the achievements of CSF and its sub-grantees, maintain and promote the CSF brand, provide technical support to the sub-grantees to improve their communication skills.
