Job Title: OFFICER EXPENDITURE (3 VACANCIES) REF. DSC 15/70/02 [34] SALARY SCALE: UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE-KCCA 7 AGE: 25 YEARS AND ABOVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE: Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelors Degree in either Commerce (Accounting option) or Business Administration (Accounting option) or Business Studies (Accounting option) or Finance and Accounting or any other course with accounting option from a recognized Institution. Possession of a Professional Accounting Qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ACIS, CPE, or a minimum of post graduate Diploma in any of the above fields from a recognized/awarding institution will be of an added advantage. Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience gained at the officer level in Government or equivalent level of relevant working experience in a busy finance section or from reputable organization. He/she should have the following key competences: strong analytical skills, high proficiency in the use of computer applications especially spreadsheets and databases (knowledge of the Computerized Accounting System, MS Office required), excellent report writing capability. DUTIES:- The incumbent will be responsible to the Supervisor for performing the following duties:- ? Receiving, verifying and processing staff and suppliers payments in line with the accounting manual and regulations. ? Reconciling general ledger accounts in accordance with the accounting manual. ? Processing and submitting tax returns to tax authorities in accordance with statutory guidelines. ? Responding to all queries and inquiries addressed to the section from internal and external stake holders. ? Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
