Job Title: SUPERVISOR DATA MANAGEMENT (1 VACANCY) REF. DSC 15/70/02 [35] SALARY SCALE: UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE -KCCA 6 AGE: 28 YEARS AND ABOVE PSC EXTERNAL ADVERT NO. 5/2012 31 MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Honors Bachelor’s Degree in either Information Technology or Software Engineering or Computer Engineering or Physics/Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or any other qualification majoring in Computing from a recognized University/Institution plus a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Business Administration (Computing option) or any other equivalent qualification in Computing from a recognized University/Institution. Possession of any of the Professional certifications in CISSP or CISA or CCAI or MCSA or ITIL will be of added advantage. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years working experience in managing the Security Function including performing ICT Security Risk Management and Assessment, three 3 of which should have been gained at Senior or Supervisory level in Government or equivalent level of working experience from a reputable organization. Applicants should have familiarity with operating systems such as Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, Unix/Linux; Database platforms such as MS SQL server and Oracle RDBMS; Microsoft Visio Studio.net environment and Data Warehousing methodologies. He/she should have the following key competences: Integrity and confidentiality, oral and written communication competences, interpersonal relations, ability to work and produce accurate results in an environment with multiple and challenging tasks an ability to meet timelines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously DUTIES:- The incumbent will be responsible to the Manager for performing the following duties:- ? Ensuring that business application providers meet the requirements as per KCCA ICT Software business needs ? Managing application development processes to comply with approved standards in line with KCCA needs. ? Analyzing and ensuring that business applications meet KCCA objectives and guidelines ? Maintaining and providing architectural guidance of software business applications to ensure quality systems ? Implementing Data Architectures, Data Warehouses and maintain KCCA databases and Database servers in line with the KCCA requirements ? Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
