1. Prepare motor vehicle specifications for the organisation before procurement in

 An Honours degree in Arts, Social Sciences, Transport Economics, or a Higher
Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years working
experience in automobile industry.
 Training in Fleet management, Motor vehicle mechanics and maintenance is
desirable.
 Membership to the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Management will be
an added advantage.
 Minimum of 5 years working experience managing a fleet of at least 50 vehicles is
essential.
 Good knowledge of Government of Uganda Vehicle management regulations is
essential.
 Practical experience of using computerized fleet management systems is an added
advantage.

    The fluid service engineer is responsible for the installation, installation acceptance and short instruction of the DEOS (Import Server) nationwide in all districts of the country. He belongs to one of the six regional centres (Data Collection Canter & Service Base).

    The fluid service engineer is responsible for repairing and maintenance of all enrollment units (notebooks, fingerprint sensors, signature panels, photo cameras, HDDs, USB sticks), import servers, power generators and all computer hardware and software. Additionally he has to implement software updates and technical improvements. He guarantees the full availability of all equipment for a continuous enrollment operation.

    He is responsible for the spare part management, replacement of defect parts and ordering of new spare parts from the central service base.

    An additional task is the of the operations, material management, human resources to identify production downtime and immediately reporting to the central service database.

Qualifications:

    A degree, diploma or certificate in a related field.

    Self driven, organized, reliable with initiative.

    Must have a mechanical background.

    Must have plumbing experience.
