Job Title: Gender Officer

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the G4G manager in partner and service provider selection process and contracting.
  • Provision of specialist gender-related Services or TA to grantees, a Bi clients, and a Bi sub components as needed
  • Ensure that gender considerations are included in a bi value chain analysis and chosen interventions;
  • Ensuring gender disaggregated reporting of abi Trust impacts and Trust operations
  • Developing operational plans in accordance to goals and practices of set by the BoT
  • Ensuring that contacted service providers and partners deliver the agreed and defined outfits.
Qualification and Experience
  • Minimum is Bachelors Degree in Gender, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Agriculture or any other related discipline. A masters Degree will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive professional experience in working with gender mainstreaming in rural/agribusiness development especially with in the agriculture sector and/or small enterprises.
  • Experience in NGO fund/Grant management preferred.

Qualifications
  • The suitable candidate for the position should possess:-
  • A first Degree in the area of Education or Medical education or its equivalent.
  • A Masters Degree in Education or Medical Education is a MUST
  • Shall be a professional Nurse or Midwife or both
  • Experience of at least ten years in Managing the Nurses and Midwives Final Examinations at Institution level
  • Experience in setting, moderating, and marking of written and OSPE/OSCE ( Practical Examinations)
  • Working Experience of at least fifteen tears, five of which must be at top management level in Nurses and Midwives training institution or both.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To manage the UNMEB Examination and Award function
  • To formulate Examinations and Awards function programs that support performance of UNMEB mandate
  • To provide evidence base for the development of UNMEB's business, Strategic Plan and Annual reports
  • To participate in the recruitment of UNMEB technical staff and provide the desired leadership.
  • To establish and enhance examinations and awards and internal control systems in accordance with UNMEB's Legal and Policy Framework.
  • To spearhead the establishment of data base of examinations and awards system at UNMEBs Head Office and that strict procedures are followed for regular back up of data

Human Resource Manager Job in Uganda at Medical Research Council

Job Title: Human Resource Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
The HR Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the human Ressource Department, including recruitment, performance, appraisal, promotions, managing disciplinary cases and ensuring that staffing levels are in line with the current and future needs of the organization. Working closely with the MRCUK the post holder will be responsible for updating and communicating changes in employment policies and procedures and ensuring that the staff manual is kept up to date and in line with Uganda employment law. Ensuring that the staffing costs keep within budget and allocating staff correctly to core or extremely funded projects will be a vital part of the role.

Reports:
  • The Human Resource Manager will report to the Director of Operations
  • Day to day contact with Heads of Programs, Project Leaders, Section Heads and employees at the unit.
  • Regular interaction with the MRC Region Center London and fellow HR Managers across the UK and The Gambia


Qualification and Experience
Applicants must possess a minimum of Masters Degree in Human Resource Management. Membership of a chartered institute of personnel Development (CIPD) or equivalent is advantageous but not essential. Candidates are required to have a a minimum of five years post degree experience working in HR with 2 at manager level. Previous experience of dealing with international staff an advantage. An excellent level of computer literacy, especially Microsoft office and experience of using computerized Human Resource Management systems(ideally Navision), is an essential requirement for this position
