Specific Tasks:

Project Director
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide overall leadership management and general technical direction to a 5-year, USAID-funded integrated nutrition and agricultural livelihoods contract in Uganda;

• Identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner, suggesting appropriate program adjustments as necessary;

Job requirement

Key Requirements:
• BS/BA and 9-11 years relevant experience with international development programs or MS/MA in International Development, livestock, agriculture, economics and 7-9 years relevant experience or PhD/MD or equivalent degree and 5-7 years relevant experience;
• Ten (10) years or more of progressively responsible international work experience implementing multisectoral development programs with demonstrated strong management and coordinating skills;
• Five (5) years or more of management experience, including direct supervision of professional and support staff and assembling teams working on multi-faceted international development programs.
• Familiarity with and commitment to addressing gender equality in agriculture is also required, as demonstrated by at least two years of senior-level experience working on projects that addressed gender- related constraints in either the agriculture or nutrition sector;
• Overseas field experience required.
