BACKGROUND: The Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation - Uganda (Baylor -Uganda) headquartered at Mulago hospital, is a comprehensive HIV care and treatment organization that supports the treatment and care of HIV infected and affected Children and Adults. Baylor - Uganda has three operational areas; HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services, Health professional training and clinical research.
Baylor-Uganda is engaged in working with the MOH in a number of Districts in Uganda in strengthening health systems for improved delivery of HIV/AIDS services. We are therefore looking for experienced, committed and hard working individuals prepared to work for a fixed one year contract in Health centres and District hospitals in Adjuman, Koboko, Kabarole, Kamwenge and Kyenjojo.
Driver (2 Posts)
Role definition: Carry out the operational and preventive maintenance of BAYLOR vehicles for administrative and operational functions to facilitate delivery of services to Baylor Customers in line with the departmental mission
Key result areas:
1. Maintain vehicles under ones- responsibility in, road worthy vehicle in good mechanical condition to reduce on the rate of tear and ware (corrosion) for an effective length of servile in line with Baylor and National requirements
2. Transport staff and authorized person(s) to a required destination and back in accordance with the Baylor Uganda SOPs and the Road Safety Act. '
3. Operate and park vehicles with maximum security of supplies to minimize losses and damage to Baylor property while in transit according to the Traffic regulations and the Baylor Uganda packing policy.
4. Account for funds spent on driving operations and Maintaining trip movement records in line with Baylor Accounting procedures
5. Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and the image of Baylor to the public in line with the organizational requirements and the National Road Safety Guidelines

Job requirement

Job specifications:
The job holder should have; (1) An 0 level certificate and a valid driving permit, a basic administrative & transport management COURSE and Defensive driving training with 5 years working experience (2) Have Key personal competences in Team and communication skills, with office organizational skills
