Job Title: Principal Planning Officer
Reports to: Executive Director
Objective of the Job:
To monitor, asses impact of policies and programs and evaluate performance of development & regulatory strategies within the diary industry and advise competitiveness and profitability in line with the mandate of the Dairy Development Authority (DDA)

Key Function:
• Prepares DDA Annual Work Plans & Budgets and ensure adherence to them during implementation
• Consolidate DDA Progress and Annual Reports
• Monitor, evaluate and review performance of programs and activities of the authority and prepare periodic reports and provide feed back
• Assist in polling Diary industry data

Person Specifications:
• Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Economics, Statistics or related field
• Post graduate qualification in project planning and development
• Good interpersonal skills
• Must have advanced computer, particularly spreadsheets & databases

Manager, Job in Uganda at Dairy Development Authority

Job Title: Manager, Dairy Development
Reports to: Executive Director

Objectives of the Job:
To spearhead the development function of the Authority to increase milk production and productivity and lead in the development and implementation of strategies and best practices among the dairy farmer groups/ cooperatives, milk traders, milk transporters and processors

Key Functions:
• Take lead in the implementation of the National Dairy strategy (NDS)
• Collect, analyze and disseminate dairy production, processing and marketing data; including import and export
• Coordinate various diary development activities such as dairy extension, diary breeding, diary research, training and diary products development.
• Register and train dairy farmers marketing organizations

Person Specifications:
• Must have a university degree in Diary Science and Technology, Veterinary Medicine or Agricultural/ livestock Economics or related fields
• Masters Degree in relevant fields plus a post Graduate qualification in Management
• Should have thorough knowledge of Diary industry in Uganda gained from at least 5 years of practical experience
• Should be highly innovative and creative thinker

Minimum Qualifications:

Working Experience:
