Job Title: Head,Disaster Management
Reporting to: Deputy Secretary General/ Head of Programs and Operations

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Spearheads the planning, coordinating, monitoring and reviewing the Disaster Management (DM) programs in order to guarantee quality in service delivery;
• Takes leadership in developing the overall strategy, policy and DM program;

• Participates in the recruitment and induction of staff in accordance to the URCS laid down procedures;
• Coaches and mentors program staff and resource persons engaged in capacity building;
• Supports, supervises and reviews performance management of staff supervised;
• Prepares quarterly departmental plans, budgets and reports in accordance with URCS guidelines and presents the same for incorporation into the overall organization plan and budget;
• As a budget holder for the department approves expenditure and application of funds on DM projects and verifies accountabilities in line with URCS policy;
• Supports and manages program staff in accordance; to the existing policies and procedures;
• Institutes and maintains an open internal; communication system, consistent with the URCS values.

Minimum Requirements:
Post Graduate qualifications in Social Work and Social Administration, Disaster Management, Community Development, Sociology, Social Sciences, Project Planning and Management or any equivalent desirable. Preferred experience in a humanitarian NGO for a minimum of five years.
Ability to network effectively with partners, donors and others to identify and respond to opportunities in Disaster Management.
Skills of political analysis, sensitivity and diplomacy. Competencies in strategic management, leadership, mentorship and problem solving.
A team player; with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills plus. Computer literate.

The main purpose of the job is, with an imminent global trend for declining voice revenues, operators need to focus on introduction of new and innovative services to counter-act this decline in revenues. MTN Uganda has, as a result invested in new mainstream technologies to deliver data services, viz; CDMA, WiMAX and 3G.

Proper delivery of services off these access technologies requires dedicated resources to design, plan, operate and optimize these networks so that a high quality and reliable telecom infrastructure and service platform is instigated, in fulfillment of the overall organizational vision and mission.
Job Responsibilities

The position’s prime responsibilities are:

• Perform and consolidate annual 3G, CDMA and WiMAX coverage designs, consulting with sales department and other stakeholders
• Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual capacity plans for 3G, CDMA and WiMAX based on subscriber projections and monitored traffic
• Provide Radio Network Planning (RNP) in put to 3G, CDMA and WiMAX projects as may be required from time to time
• Participate in commissioning of CDMA sites by uploading BTS configuration data using Airbridge tool
• Participate in evaluation of new technologies such as LTE

Age: 25 – 40 years

Reporting to the Medical Superintendent, the successful applicant’s duties will be as follows:
_ Provide X-ray services to all deserving patients in the company hospital.
_ Liaising with Medical Assistant and Nurses in preparing patients for X-rays.
_ Ensuring that the X-ray machine and other dark room equipment and chemicals are properly maintained and always functional.
_ Ensuring that adequate health and safety regulations are implemented to avoid unnecessary leakage of radioactive materials to patients and other hospital users.

Qualifications & Experience:
_ A Diploma in Radiography from a recognized intuition.
_ Certificate of registration with the Allied Health Professionals Counsel
_ A minimum of one year of work experience as radiographer in a busy health unit.
