Job Title: Facilities Coordinator
Report to: Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for the management of the Operations contracts particularly facilities cleaning, security and compound maintenance. The person will supervise Operations functions of facilities cleaning, Security and Refreshment and will also oversee generators and photocopiers. The Facilities Coordinator will carryout the initial contracts' orientations and periodic evaluations. Will ensure that IDI derives value for money from contracts and maintain high quality standards.

Principal Accountabilities:
Operations contracts’ management will manage all Operations contracts for cleaning, security, compound maintenance and refuse disposal. Monitor generator fuel:
With support from Engineering, ensure that generator fuel is properly track and recorded. Produce monthly fuel accountability reports for generator fuel.

Management of photocopiers:
With Engineering, ensure that projects are appropriately billed for photocopier usage. Produce monthly reports regarding projects use of photocopiers.
Education and experience:
• A bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration or any other relevant field from a recognized University

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee UPL’s accounting and reporting operations including maintaining Sun accounting.
• Periodically review operating procedures and ensure that internal controls are in place.
• Oversee management of fixed assets, payroll and budgeting.
• Ensure that standard payments are effected on time; and approves payment of liquidated demands and imprest.

• Establish an effective debtors and creditors management system.
• Liaise with external auditors in carrying out audits and prepares relevant schedules for auditors.
• Prepare financial statements including the trial balance, Income statements and balance sheet of the company.
• Supervise, train, develop and appraise staff in the section.
• Carry out any other duties as may be assigned to by the supervisor from time to time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Honors degree in Accounting
• A professional qualification in Accounting. Possession of a relevant Masters Degree will be an added advantage
• At least five (5) years of progressive and professional auditing experience
• Working knowledge of computerized accounting is essential.
• Must be computer literate in MS packages
• Excellent analytical ability and report writing skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
