LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGICAL SURVEYS (AND MINES)

SALARY : UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE U6
AGE : 23 YEARS AND ABOVE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:

Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Diploma in Laboratory Technology majoring in Chemistry or Physics from a recognized institution.

He/she should possess the following competencies; team work skills, analytical skills, good communication skills, records and information management skills, Information communication technology, planning, organizing and coordinating and Ethics and integrity.

DUTIES:

The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Laboratory Technician for performing the following duties:

• Receives and documents batches of Ore samples for testing.
• Responsible for sample preparation (crushing, gritting, sieving etc)
• Operates Laboratory equipment under supervision by the Senior Laboratory Technician
• Responsible for good maintenance and usage of laboratory equipment
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.
