ASSISTANT INSPECTOR OF MINES

SALARY : UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE U6
AGE : 23 YEARS AND ABOVE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE

Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Diploma in Mine Surveying or Mineral Prospecting or Land Survey from a recognized institution

He/she should possess the following competencies; team work skills, analytical skills, good communication skills, records and information management skills, Information communication technology, planning, organizing and coordinating and ethics and integrity.

DUTIES:

The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Inspector of Mines for performing the following duties:

• Responsible for enforcing and monitoring mining activities in the field.
• Advise licence holders and miners on technical and legal matters
• Enforce and monitor environment management
• Enforce and monitor land rehabilitation in exploration and mining areas
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.
