SENIOR GEOLOGICAL ASSISTANT (EXPLORATION)

SALARY : UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE U6
AGE : 23 YEARS AND ABOVE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:

Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Diploma in Chemistry or Geology from a recognized University/Institution.

Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years working experience as a Geological Assistant in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.

He/she should possess the following competencies; team work skills, analytical skills, good communication skills, Records and information management skills, Information communication technology, planning, organizing and coordinating and ethics and integrity.

DUTIES:

The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Geophycist for performing the following duties:

• Supervising field Geological Assistants.
• Assisting Geologists in training Geological Assistants in various exploration methods.
• Assisting in compiling, editing and production of Geological maps and other promotion materials.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
