SENIOR PETROLEUM OFFICER, ENFORCEMENT (OPERATIONS)

SALARY : UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE U3
AGE : 25 YEARS AND ABOVE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Degree in Economics, Statistics or Business Administration, Environmental Studies or Environmental related field from a recognized University/Institution. Possession of a Postgraduate qualification in any of the above fields will be an added advantage.
Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years working experience, which should have served as a Petroleum/Energy Officer in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization. Experience of working in the Oil Industry or Environmental Impact Assessment, environmental monitoring audits or related field will also be an added advantage.
He/she should possess the following competencies; team work skills, analytical skills, good communication skills, records and information management skills, Information communication technology, planning, organizing and coordinating and ethics and integrity.
DUTIES:
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Petroleum Officer/Enforcement in performing the following duties:
• Initiate follow-up field inspection issues relating to compliance with the set standards.
• Contribute to draft routine petroleum information reports.
• Contribute to the draft estimates for the Enforcement Section.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
