AGE LIMIT: 28 Years and above
REPORTS TO: Principal Health Inspector
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Health Inspector.
MAIN PURPOSE: To prevent disease and promote health through surveillance and
Management of Environmental Health practices and in management of the unit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a Diploma in Environmental Health Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
• Must have served for three (3) years as a Health Worker.
DUTIES:
• Inspecting homesteads for hygiene and environmental sanitation,
• Inspecting refuse collection and disposal.
• Enforcing Public Act Regulations and by-laws and Health Preventive measures
•Participating in planning, directing, budgeting, coordinating, monitoring and evaluations for environmental Health programmes.
• Managing and accounting for allocated resources
•Carrying out human resource manpower activities like identifying manpower, promotional, leave and deployment.
• Participating in research activities.
• Imparting knowledge and skills to students and staff.
