Service Provider Career Opportunities in Uganda

Job Title: Service Provider
Duty Station: Mbale
Reports to: Service Provider In-charge

Job Role: To provide quality Sexual and Reproductive Health services including maternity or family planning to clients according to Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines

Core Responsibilities
•Sensitize educate or counsel potential clients on HIV/AIDS including
PMTCT and other SRH issues,
•Provide appropriate integrated VCT/HCT, Sexual and Reproductive Health including ART services to clients at delivery points
•Offer maternity services
•Refer clients as required to defined referral point(s)
•Collect and keep records of clients according to recommended service statistics manual
•Analyze and utilize data to inform and improve service delivery at health delivery points
•Perform any other professional duties as may be assigned by the supervisor


Experience, Skills and Abilities required
•Excellent communication and counseling skills
•Skills in diagnosing client medical conditions
•Skilled in assisting childbirth
•Competence in managing reproductive health issues and issues regarding youth sexuality
•Ability to provide quality SRH services
• Ability to produce and submit reports to relevant authority within set deadlines
•Willingness to work on the night shift
•At least two years practical skill and experience in reproductive health service delivery is vital

Qualifications
•Registered Midwife (double training will be an added advantage) Knowledge of local language is essential Basic computer skills are desirable
