RESPONSIBLE FOR: Senior Health Assistant

MAIN PURPOSE:
To prevent diseases by ensuring that Public Health Rules and Regulations are adhered to by the community

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must have a Diploma in Environmental Health Science or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
•Must be registered with the Allied Health Professional Council,

DUTIES:
•Carrying out health inspection of domestic, public and commercial premises.
•Supervising refuse collection and disposal.
• Carrying out disease surveillance Sensitizing community on Public Health Preventive measures and Public Health Act, Regulations and By-laws. Managing and accounting for allocated resources
• Identifying and protection of Natural Water Participating in research activities

Applications are invited from suitably and eligible persons to fill the vacant posts, that exist in Kabale District Local Government, Kabale Municipal Council and Katuna, Muhanga and Hamurwa Town Councils. Applications, filled in triplicate on Public Service Form No.3 (Revised 2008), should be submitted to the Secretary, District Service Commission P.0. Box 5 Kabale to be received not later than 13th January, 2010.

The application forms are obtainable from Public Service Commission Offices, Kampala and District Service Commission offices country wide.

Application forms should be filled in triplicate and should bear the title of the post as well as the Reference Number specified against the vacancy. Applicants should attach a set of certified photocopies of their academic documents, transcripts, certificates, pass slips and other relevant documents plus 3 recent passport size photographs.
