About this job

Our Client CNOOC Uganda Limited is seeking to recruit suitably qualified candidates for the above vacancy;

Primary Function:

    ŸResponsible for  production and Operation.
    Assists The Process and Operation Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    ŸWorks with Reservoir Engineers to accomplish basic goals of depletion strategy. Recommends adjustment of production rates where required.
    ŸWorks with the drilling department and engineering department to fulfill the oil field development plan;
    ŸInspects and supervises the oil field maintenance activities and ensures that contractors perform quality work.
    ŸExecutes some duties related to petroleum engineering, such as programming sampling work or other work assigned by the supervisor as required.
    ŸProvides on-site supervision and program implementation for rig less activities including slick-line, electric-line, remedial stimulation, and coiled tubing, etc.
    ŸContinually reviews artificial lift performance and works with Engineers and Operations staff; and adopts the NODAL analysis to ensure optimal efficiency.
    ŸReviews completion equipment design and recommends improvements where appropriate.
    ŸProvides advice for improvement of the regulation and rules on operation management, and executes them as required.
    Other duties assigned by supervisor/line manager.

Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree or above.
    Petroleum engineering, drilling and completion or equivalent.
    About 1-year related working experience.
    Knowledge of exploration, development, production, drilling and completion.
    Knowledge of cost control and laws.
    Understanding of petroleum contract, reservoir, geology and oil production.
    Good organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
    Good analyzing and problem-solving ability.
    Good command of both written and spoken English.
    Good team player.
    Highly motivated and achievement orientated.
    Preference to overseas and offshore oil field working experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Academic Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Health related field or Social Sciences with additional training of a Postgraduate degree in Health Management or Training in institutional management.

10 years in institutional management; at least 5 of which should have been at senior management level in an organisation offering services similar to those of TASO.

Post 1: Senior Accountant (2 positions)

The Senior Accountant reports to the Chief Accountant and his/her absence to the Finance Director. The Senior Accountant is responsible for operations and projects accounts which involve grants management, disbursement, accountability and timely/accurate preparation and submission of grants financial reports.

He/she will ensure that all staff’s salary payments are effectively and timely carried out as well as ensuring that all supplies’ costs are appropriately allocated.

Main Duties:
• Developing mechanisms for grant disbursement, accountability and reporting in line with donors / funders’ requirements

• Guiding the project staff and other finance staff in finance management and reporting to enable effective and timely program implementation

• Approving all grant disbursements and review all grant accountability for some project sub grantees

• Tracking income and expenditure in line with grant budgets and advices projects staff on progress and areas of improvement

• Overseeing finance accounting and accountability at the JCRC upcountry sites

• Reviewing Cooperative Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for each sub-grant and ensuring all agreements are complied with ensuring all the documentation for the specific grant(s) are in order.

• Ensuring that all suppliers and staff salary payments are effectively and timely carried out as well as ensuring that all wage costs are appropriately allocated and apportioned to different projects /programmes and ensuring that all statutory obligations and other deductions are done.

• Ensuring all JCRC payments and stores records including inventory are properly documented and that all invoices to partners / clients are produced accurately and on time.
Preferred Skills:    
Qualifications & Experience:
A degree in Accounting or Business Administration and completed a professional accounting registration by the accounting bodies such as ACCA, CIMA and CPA.

A 5-year progressive and professional accounting experience of which 2 years should have been in Civil Society Fund (CSF) and UASID funded projects. Experience in supervision of grant and fund accounting, payroll administration, financial reporting, processing payments and invoice management is highly essential.

Job Role:
Manage and provide Sexual & Reproductive Health(SRH) services at RHU outlets in accordance with M.O.H and international guidelines. SRH services include counseling and providing of long and short term methods of family planning, diagnosis of simple related conditions, such as STIs, malaria, UTI/RTI, screening for cancer of the cervix, management of infertility, HIV counseling and testing, etc. These services are offered at the static clinic as well as in the community, through outreach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Initiate and develop programme activities that address branch gender and youth focused SRH client needs.

2. Manage clinic, outreach and community SRH service delivery units so as to attain and maintain quality standards and increase male as well as female clientele

3. Co-ordinate and monitor programme and project implementation at the RHU branch to ensure attainment of planned results.

4. Provide cost –effective and sustainable clinical SRH services to clients at all delivery units as per RHU’s SRH package.

5. Provide technical training, guidance and mentoring to staff and community resource persons to standardize and improve their performance

6. Develop and maintain networks with partner organizations at district level for purposes of information as well as resource sharing and cost saving

7. Coordinate and support RHU Volunteer Members’ activities at the branch
