Job Title: Advisor Access to Justice- Criminal
Description of Service
The Advisor, Access to justice- criminal will provide advisory services and technical support and guidance necessary for the successful implementation of the strategic investment plan with specific regard to access to criminal justice as follows
• Develop researched strategies for effective implementation of the criminal justice programmes
• Provide technical support to the development of action plans and budgets for criminal justice reforms
• Provide support to the monitoring and evaluation system, particularly on criminal justice reforms
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate should have:
• A masters degree in law from a recognized university
• A good understanding of contemporary legal and justice reforms in developing countries with particular emphasis on reforms in the criminal justice system
• At least 5 years working experience in programme management in a legal environment
Skills
• Proficiency in the use of standard computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software
• Excellent Analytical skills
• Excellent research, report writing and presentation skills
