Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Station: Kampala

Reports to: CEO



Duties and responsibilities:

- Assessing organizational performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy.

- Serving as a member of executive leadership team.

- Overseeing cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.

- Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships.

- Developing and managing accounting staff.

- Managing the company’s insurance program.

- Participating in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.

- Managing the company’s legal affairs in the areas of cargo claims, bankruptcies and other small claims matters.



Education & Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a minimum qualification of a BS and ACCA (completed all levels); a CPA and/or MBA would be a plus.



Experience:

- 5 years of financial experience and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organization of at least 50 staff.

- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
