1. Job Title: Human Resource Manager
Reports to: Deputy Program Director
Location: Secretariat (Kampala)
Job summary:
To take overall charge of the Human Resources in MJAP, and ensure that they are adequate and well managed for effective and efficient program implementation.
Key tasks will include: ensuring that MJAP has and abides by proper human resource policies, systems and procedures; strategic HR planning; managing the hiring and deployment processes; staff appraisal, development and welfare Job requirements:
Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management or MBA (HRM Option) OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management plus a Master’s degree in a relevant subject. Experience of 6 +years in a
similar position, preferably in an NGO / donor funded projects setting.

2. Job Title: Pharmacy Services Advisor
Reports to: Deputy Program Director
Location: Secretariat (Kampala)
Job summary:
To ensure that MJAP-supported health units have adequate pharmaceutical supplies and that these are effectively managed, in line with the national systems.
Duties include: selection, specification, forecasting, verification of the pharmaceuticals; recommend to the program reputable sources/ suppliers of pharmaceutical and medical supplies; participation in evaluation of suppliers; ensures that standard pharmaceutical practices are adhered to; technical assistance/ training of staf; Monitor and evaluate MJAP’s performance in the delivery of pharmaceutical services,
and take follow-up action as necessary.
Job requirements:
1st Degree in Pharmacy, plus a Masters degree in pharmacy related field or its equivalent; registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda (PSU) or Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain; At least 4 years in a similar setting, in a recognized health institution/ NGO, two of which should be at a management level. Knowledge on issues relating to quality assurance in clinical settings; Drug regulatory procedures in Uganda; HIV/AIDS Care protocols relating to pharmaceutical services; Supply-chain management system for the MOH; Procurement principles
3. M&E officer – Program Evaluations
Reports to: Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor
Location: Secretariat (Kampala)
Job summary:
To lead planning, coordination and implementation of program valuation activities in MJAP.
Key duties: Identify areas for evaluation; Developing periodic monitoring and evaluation plans and budgets; implement evaluation activities; Build capacity for program statito carry out program
evaluations; ensuring utilization of information from evaluations for program improvement Prepare periodic reports.
Job requirements:
1st Degree in Statistics, Computer Science or any other relevant discipline plus training in Program Monitoring and Evaluation. A masters’ degree in a related field is an added advantage. Must be comfortable working with database design, MS Access, Excel, Epiinfo, SPSS and STATA. 2 years in program monitoring and Evaluation, preferably in an HIV/AIDS Program. Knowledgeable in Principles of
program Monitoring and Evaluation; Impact assessment techniques;
Data management and analysis; general knowledge on HIV/AIDS; Ethics related to data management, monitoring and evaluation
4. Job Title: Pharmacy Technician – 2 positions
Administratively Reports to: Clinic/Site Manager
Functionally reports to: Pharmacist

Job summary:
Key duties:
To give out drugs to patients; ensure rational drug use, carry out adherence monitoring at pharmacy level; quantify drug needs; provide drug related counseling to patients and identify treatment technicalities (drug interactions, treatment mismatch, etc); keep a record of all appointments and missed appointments for patients on ART; data entry;
ensuring proper storage of drugs at the unit of dispensing; Recommends expired drugs for writing off ;writes reports; Maintains and updates the register of patients on ART
Job requirements:
Diploma in Pharmacy. Registered with the Allied Medical Council. Two years in a busy clinical facility. Knowledge on principles of HIV/AIDS Care. Computer skills. Report writing. Counselling
5. Job Title: Driver – 1
Reports to: Administrative Assistant
Location: Mbarara
Job summary:
To drive MJAP vehicles, monitor and report their condition for maintenance or repair. To ensure maximum security of passengers and the vehicle; Carry out minor repairs and adjustments on the vehicle, and maintain their cleanliness a record of movements.
Job requirements:
O-Level School Certificate; with a Driving Permit. Clean driving record. Training in Defensive Driving is an added advantage. 3 years of uninterrupted work experience as a driver, preferably in an NGO settng. Basic technical knowledge of motor vehicle operations, simple vehicle repairs /adjustments.
Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations, including the highway code and principles of road safety
