Job Title: Telecom Site Controller
REPORT TO: Project Supervisor
Location: Kampala
Country: Uganda
Job Description (Duties):

A company that provides turnkey telecom infrastructure solution in Africa and has currently ongoing operations in Uganda, Ghana, Rwanda and DRC and is an approved contractor for major operators and certified vendors, is seeking a candidate who should be able to perform the following role and responsibilities:

* Plans and designs the work schedule (site supervision and site handover) in order to meet target dates
* Surveys and prepares the corresponding BOQ for collocation/upgrade sites
* Directs the sub-contractors and coordinates all their electrical/telecom installation activities on his/her sites
* Coordinates with the Client's Site Representative(s) to ensure an efficient roll-out of the sites' work
* Coordinates efforts with all sections of the company (Logistics & Procurement, Quality Control, HR & Administration and Accounts) as per the company's internal procedures
* Ensures that all electrical & telecom works being executed under his/her supervision conform with the Client's specifications, the BOQ and the approved drawings
* Ensures that all electrical & telecom tools and equipments are in accordance with the engineering standards and specifications
* Reports all progress and troubleshooting at sites on daily basis to the Project Supervisor using the company's reporting formats
* Takes initiative to perform workmanships on his/her assigned sites
* Hands over completed sites to the client after receiving the Quality Control Section's acceptance
* Completes and signs all internal Handover documents (Quality Control Checklist) with subcontractors
* Performs all necessary tests and readings (earthing resistance, VSWR/BTF and BER) to ensure that all installations have been done according to the required specifications
* Completes and signs all Client's Acceptance documents at the sites
* Adheres to all safety,health and environmental standards (wearing of helmet, overall, safety boots, goggles, gloves and safety belts)


Necessary Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

* 2-5 years experience in a similar field

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

* BSc. in Electrical/Telecom Engineering
